Do I have to pay import duties for my package?Updated a year ago

All CircuitMess products ship free of charge to any country in the world.

We cover the shipping costs, but we do not cover import customs fees.

Our products are shipped from our EU, UK, Australian, or USA warehouses.

If you are located in the EU, UK, Australia, or the USA, you won’t be required to pay any extra import duties.

(the only exception for this are STEM Box deliveries to the UK. If you have ordered a STEM Box in the UK, the goods will be shipped from the EU, and you will be required to pay import tax)

=====

If you live in a country outside the EU, UK, Australia, or the USA, you will most likely have to pay an import tax present in your country.

We cannot affect or include this in the price since we cannot avoid taxation or pre-pay the import tax amounts for every single backer in every country in the world.

Different countries have different amounts and forms of import tax, but it usually ranges from 10% to 30% depending on the country, the value of the goods imported, and the type of the goods.

If you’d like to know more about import tax and whether you’ll have to pay it for your purchase, please contact us or visit your country’s customs office’s official website - they usually have this explained on their web pages in every country.

United Kingdom

You won’t pay any import tax unless you’ve ordered a STEM Box. STEM Boxes will be shipped from an EU warehouse, and you’ll be required to pay import tax.

For more information on import duties for the UK, check the UK Government’s official website. European Union

You won’t pay any extra tax since the goods are sent from a warehouse within the EU.

Australia

You won’t pay any extra tax since the goods are sent from a warehouse within Australia.

New Zealand

GST (goods and services tax) of 15% applies to all imported items, including anything you bought online.
If the total value of the goods is less than or equal to $1000, the duty is waived.
If you’re unsure of the tax amount you’ll have to pay, use this calculator: https://www.customs.govt.nz/personal/duty-and-gst/whats-my-duty-estimator/

United States of America

You won’t pay any import tax since the goods will be shipped from our warehouse in the USA or with a special shipping method from Europe.

Canada

Any item mailed to Canada may be subject to the
Goods and Services Tax (GST) and duty.
Unless specifically exempted, you must pay the 5% GST on imported items into Canada by mail.
The CBSA calculates any duties owed based on the value of the goods in Canadian dollars.
