What is the difference between Spencer and AIY/Alexa?Updated 7 months ago

We haven't had the opportunity to test the AIY kit ourselves, but based on our research online, there are notable distinctions between Spencer and the AIY kit. Spencer is based on the ESP32 microcontroller, while the AIY kit is powered by Raspberry Pi.

Furthermore, Spencer offers a hands-on soldering experience, requiring users to solder the components together as they assemble it, fostering a deeper understanding of the components involved. In contrast, the AIY kit connects to Google Assistant and relies on its capabilities. Spencer, on the other hand, operates on our servers and boasts a unique and entertaining personality we've carefully crafted.

Once you've assembled Spencer, you can code him to say whatever you'd like, display various images on his LED panel, and further customize his behavior. He is a funny little fellow. 😊
